It occured to me more than once that I rarely do a wrap up post on the quilts I do for others. All that hard work someone went to, with quilting done by me, and all you get is a quick picture floating by.
WELL.
Today I’m changing that.
This will also help with the blog-every-day part too. 😉
I have a delightful customer who is a new quilter and enjoying the heck out of the whole process. She made this very simple yet beautiful quilt from red and grey Christmas prints, way back in August. Some four patch blocks and large squares, with grey sashings make a simple but handy quilt, and she added a double border on the sides only to make it a little wider.
We chose a fun double loop that I did freehand in grey thread to blend in. It’s all about texture on this one and she wanted it light and airy for cuddling.
She was very happy when she picked up her quilt, and promised to show it off to her friends that were scheduled to come over the next day for tea.
As always, I used Glide thread 40 weight with Magna Glide prewound bobbins, and Hobbs 80/20 batting. I’m not sure what fabrics she used but we have a similar cardinal print in stock. I believe the pattern was one she made up herself!
