In January I was still working on quilts that were dropped off before Christmas, but didn’t have a deadline until any time after the holidays.
Still lots of snow on the ground and the three was still up so this was festive.
And straight when I got to the bottom!
This bright quilt was the customer’s FIRST quilt! They had taken a private beginner’s quilting class.
The elm City guild had a mystery quilt last year and I have quilted quite a few! This one was done in allover swirled hooks. She chose a marbled red backing from our shop to go with it.
The other mystery quilt had a border and a different color back so I wouldn’t get them mixed up. I did allover paisleys on this one.
The last quilt of this month didn’t get finished by the end of the month and went into the next month. The top was done using the tube quilting method and the customer wanted custom quilting but nothing floral or too feminine. Feathers almost always fits that bill. In the February post, you will see the matching pillow shams I had the freedom to design.
