Here are the quilts I did in December. I have such great customers!
This one was for the customer’s grandson who was going off to college. She has two grandsons so when this was done she handed me a second. They were both fast and easy meanders with black batting.
Another childrens quilt for a great Christmas present from an auntie. She wanted just light custom so I had some fun with details like smoke from the train chimney stack.
This one block wonder was fun to quilt for a fun gal. We knew she liked BRIGHT colors so we chose an unexpected lime / yellow thread and did a bumpy flower design for allover texture.
I regret I didn’t get a full shot of this quilt because it was amazing. Rail fence blocks, but in cool blues on one side and red hot oranges on the other going in a diagonal down the quilt with neutral cream on either side. One side I did allover waves, the other I did flames.
Another desert sky! I did feathers on this as well, and different designs in each circle area.
A tshirt quilt where I did an allover meander, mostly. Since I do these freehand I was able to avoid any real trouble spots in any shirt with the stiff vinyl.
And a long term finish – this was a block of the month from a local quilt shop that is now closed. It had special meaning to the owner since her husband helped pick additional colors and he has since passed away. We made sure she had it back in time to cuddle with over the holidays.
