Ridge Machine Quilting is a two person business brought to you by Ron & Andrea Rennick.
Andrea has been a quilter ever since she was a small girl and taught how to do it “properly” by her English grandmother. With her sewing machine never far from her side, Andrea spent years sewing clothing for her growing children, creating baby quilts for her many relatives, and experimenting with the next new thing in the craft world. Somewhere after the last baby got big enough, Andrea rediscovered quilting with the modern quilting movement and jumped back in. By 2015, Andrea was making a number of custom quilts and tshirt quilts for customers all over North America.
Ron grew up on a small rural farm, dabbling in handcrafts and working with his hands. He had a full career as a software developer. As retirement from that field loomed, he looked over Andrea’s shoulder and became interested in creating and designing quilts. He was always willing to rearrange blocks for the final layout and suggest color and fabric combinations.
In late 2016, they both took a longarm class and by March 2017 had a longarm set up and were starting to bring in quilting customers, on top of the custom quilt customers.
By late 2017, they had purchased the inventory of a closed quilt shop and added fabric selection and notions to their business.
